Winter, will you please stop harassing me?

I realize that I have not blogged, or really kept myself totally organized on the waves of the interwebs as of late. I often shy away from the idea of showcasing myself off to the world - for my long fear of ridicule and being outcasted (thanks, bullies from grade school) - but really, I have much to be thankful for, and much to share.

Anyways, enough of the sappy stuff.

It's Springtime. It has been Springtime for five days now so I don't understand why after a good solid week of springtime niceties and rain (don't really mind rain) winter decided to knock down the walls with snow. And it's as if everyone in the city had put away their shovels and tuques (who am I kidding, Canadians never put away their tuques) and everyone's perception of summer was that it was finally fast approaching. "It's here! It's really here! Screw you Old Man Winter! Screw youuu!!!"

Yeah, but no. A full day of blowing snow, strong East winds (means a coldass surf on the northwest shores of Lake Ontario), whiteout conditions, and cars slipping and sliding like we'd never driven in snow before, made people hide away in their warm, cozy dens for one...last...effing...day.

And late in the evening, the clouds lifted, the stars shone, and the winter stopped (again). It's super sunshiney outside and I won't feel so miserable previewing houses today.

***Picture above is taken at Len Ford Park in the Long Branch neighborhood.  Two surfers were out on that break yesterday. Thanks Instagram for the photo filter.

...next time on surf skate real estate...

Come check out the first installment of "Houses & Habitats", a snapshot look at some of the vibrant neighborhoods in Toronto.  It will include maps, demographic info, real estate market information, super fun cool facts and delicious pictures.  Stay tuned...
